...invites for my Dad’s 60th birthday. My Dad hates being called Joey. At every family occasion someone would shout "Look here’s Joey." To which my father’s terse reply was always, "My name’s not Joey, Joey is a budgie’s name. My name is Joe." This is to celebrate him mellowing in his old age.
